September 18, 2009 - Clue 2 and Clue 3 Completed!
This was my first experience knitting a lace pattern. The lace portion took concentration and I had to frog (rip it) several times. Keeping waste run as a lifeline at the beginning of each pattern repeat saved me. The heel was simple, but unusual. I loved the honeycomb pattern. These socks are destine for a very special woman. Clue 4 comes out next Tuesday. I wonder what the foot portion of the pattern will be like... stay tuned!

September 1, 2009 - Cast On!
My cast on was done with 2 needles held together using the Norwegian Cast-On method. I put stitch markers every 10 stitches so I don't have to re-count and re-count.

August 27, 2009 - Winding
Order, out of chaos!
The yarn gummy blob finally made it's way into 2 neatly wound balls. I've had my ball winder only 2 days and am a novice.

August 27, 2009 - Disaster!
Yummy Yellow Yarn arrives!
Do you know what happens when you get a beautiful hank of yarn and you try to wind it into a ball without a swift? (I was too impatient to wait for my husband to come home and help with the winding.) See picture on the left. What a disaster!
After 2 1/2 hours of painstaking work, I managed to get it untangled and wound. Now ... left the Sockdown begin.
