Nimitz

On Saturday, the hotel began to fill up with people. It didn't register on my radar until this morning. The Nimitz showed up in the Puget Sound. There are a lot of excited parents and spouses here.
The Nimitz is awesome. I could see six tugs and 2 Coast Guard Cutters. Helicopters
were flying the sound with air support.
Wow! All of these pictures are taken from the door of my hotel room.
The last picture shows her docked. Notice the Coast Guard Cutter hovering
to the right. That Cutter is over 115 feet long
and sits very high out of the water. Next to the Carrier, she look like a dingy!
